Khaberni - A White House official said that the special American envoy, Steve Witkoff, will visit Israel on Tuesday, and will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid escalating tensions with Iran.
This comes at a time when the administration of US President Donald Trump is moving forward in implementing its plan to end the Gaza war.
Israeli media indicated that Witkoff will arrive in Israel on Tuesday. Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner had previously met the Prime Minister on January 24 to push for the opening of the Rafah Crossing as stipulated by the cease-fire agreement brokered by the American President.
