Khaberni- Media reports confirm that coach Pep Guardiola is on his way to end his career with Manchester City at the end of the current season.
The Spanish newspaper eldesmarque reported that speculation is mounting about the possibility of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City in June, despite his contract extending until 2027.
It added: "Reports from England, particularly from the Marca newspaper, suggest that his departure from the Etihad Stadium after ten years of leading the team is likely, amid expectations that he will end his long successful relationship with the club this summer."
It continued: "Guardiola, who took over as manager of Manchester City in the summer of 2016, led the team to their first ever Champions League title, in addition to winning the English Premier League title six times between 2018 and 2024, which reflects his great dominance at the local and continental levels."
With the likelihood of Guardiola's departure, the English newspapers have started to reveal the names of candidates likely to take his position, with prominent Spanish names like Cesc Fabregas and Xabi Alonso topping the list, along with the Italian Enzo Maresca.
Fabregas currently manages Italian club Como 1907 and has previously been highlighted in nominations for top clubs due to his impressive performance. Xabi Alonso led Bayer Leverkusen to a historic period during which they won the German league title, but he only spent five months at the helm of Real Madrid, while Maresca was suddenly dismissed from managing Chelsea, leaving all of them available to take over the English team in case of Guardiola's departure.
