Oil drops amid possible easing between America and Iran

Khaberni - Oil prices fell on Tuesday for the second consecutive day as market participants assessed the possibility of reduced tensions between the United States and Iran, while the strong dollar pushed prices down.

Brent crude futures fell 39 cents, or 0.5%, to $65.91 a barrel at 0330 GMT. The price of West Texas Intermediate crude in the U.S. was $61.83 a barrel, down 31 cents or 0.5%.

Oil prices dropped by more than 4% on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran was "talking seriously" with Washington, indicating a reduction in tensions with the OPEC member state.

Officials from Iran and the United States informed Reuters on Monday that the two sides are expected to resume nuclear talks on Friday in Turkey. Trump warned that sending large U.S. warships to Iran could lead to bad things happening if an agreement is not reached.
