Khaberni - Jordanian racer Naif Abu Tayeh opens the 2026 season by participating in the Moon Valley Navigation Rally held in southern Jordan between February 12 and 14, after finishing his European participations in 2025.
Abu Tayeh's participation in this competition, which is considered one of the most important events in local desert motorsports combining challenge and adventure, comes after finishing the 2025 season in the European BMW 318Ti Cup championship, on international circuits in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, leaving a strong mark by raising the Jordanian flag on many podiums against a field of international drivers.
Abu Tayeh considers 2025 an important milestone in his career, asserting that his participation in the Moon Valley Rally, his first in 2026, aboard a Defender car shared with navigator Walid Shabsoogh and supported by Mahmoudia Motors and the Jordan Defender team, holds special meaning as it takes place on Jordanian soil, hoping at the same time that it marks a good start to the new season.
The Moon Valley Navigation Rally is one of the most prominent stages of the Jordan Baha international event, characterized by its rugged desert terrain stretching from the city of Aqaba to Wadi Rum area, where it combines the spirit of competition and four-wheel drive vehicles in the field of desert navigation, attracting sport and adventure enthusiasts from inside and outside Jordan.
The rally has gained a good reputation after two successful editions, where the number of participants increased, in a desert experience that combines challenge and the joy of driving on rugged sandy roads.
