AlKaabi Qatar will become the worlds largest exporter of gas fertilizers and helium

Khaberni  - Qatar's State Minister for Energy Affairs, Saad bin Sherida Al-Kaabi -today Monday- announced that his country will become the world's largest exporter of liquefied gas, chemical fertilizers, and helium in the next few years.

During the opening of the 21st International Conference and Exhibition of Liquefied Natural Gas held in Qatar, the Qatari minister added that thanks to the strategic projects launched by Qatar in recent years, its production of natural gas will increase from 77 million tons annually to 142 million tons, thus Qatari will control 40% of the global gas supply.

The Qatari official mentioned that Qatar Energy will increase its production of condensates and liquefied petroleum gas by 60%, and helium by 115%.

 

Gas Carriers

According to the minister, Qatar Energy is working on establishing a new global complex for urea fertilizer, making Qatar the world's largest exporter of this vital substance used in agricultural production.

Al-Kaabi explained that Qatar Energy is supporting global food security by increasing the production capacity of urea fertilizer by more than 110%.

The Qatari minister also said that his country has launched the largest program for the manufacture of liquefied gas carriers in the world, manufacturing 120 giant carriers, noting that Qatar will receive a new gas carrier every 3 weeks.

It is noteworthy that the International Conference and Exhibition of Liquefied Natural Gas will continue until next Thursday, and the conference discusses the reality and future of the liquefied gas sector in terms of production, export, investment, and technological aspects of the industry.
