Khaberni - With the goal of developing the educational process and enhancing the students' academic and practical skills, the Dean's Office of Student Affairs / Student Counseling Department, in cooperation with the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the university, organized a comprehensive series of specialized training workshops on peer teaching. This took place during the first semester of the academic year 2025/2026, with extensive participation from students across various faculties and specializations, aiming to embody the university's vision of enabling students to exchange knowledge and experiences, and enhance their role as active partners in the educational process through diverse scientific and practical approaches.
The training workshops included a number of specialized fields, notably: a training workshop on fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles presented by student Mohammed Abu Amsha from the Faculty of Aviation Sciences, and a training workshop on accounting applications using computers in English presented by student Afnan Mahmoud from the Business College, in addition to an operational research workshop presented by student Hadeel Al-Sayadi from the Business College, a database management workshop presented by student Noor Al-Huda Moazzen from the Business College, an engineering design workshop implemented by student Reem Khashan from the College of Engineering, and a pharmaceutical chemistry workshop (1) presented by student Bayan Abu Saileek from the College of Pharmacy, alongside a workshop on the jurisprudence of personal status (2) presented by student Rahil Abu Ayyash from the College of Sharia.
The training workshops also included fields of languages, law, and medical sciences, where students from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences conducted a reading and conversation workshop through students: Dana Samrin, Layan Saleh, Samar Hussein, and Rana Qadim, in addition to implementing an instant translation workshop by the students: Mohammed Abu Yahya, Qasim Al-Ziyout, Layan Saleh, and Rana Qadim from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and in the legal field student Israa Al-Salamat from the College of Law presented a workshop on the principles of civil court proceedings, while student Iman Al-Smadi from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences conducted a workshop on anatomy and tissues, and student Aseel Saleh from the Faculty of Educational and Psychological Sciences presented a workshop on psychological and educational counseling theories.
The training workshops witnessed noticeable interaction and direct practical applications, during which participants had the opportunity to engage in activities and training practically, contributing to deepening understanding, linking theoretical aspects with practical application, and enhancing critical thinking and teamwork skills among students.
These workshops are part of Amman Arab University's commitment to adopting modern and innovative educational methods, including peer teaching, due to its effective role in advancing academic achievement, developing intellectual and social skills, and enhancing a culture of cooperation and responsibility among students, in line with the university's mission and motto based on leadership and excellence.
