Obaidat as General Manager of the Jordanian Industrial Cities Company

Khaberni -   The board of directors of the Jordanian Industrial Cities Company, in its recent session chaired by the Vice President of the Council, the engineer Fares Hammouda, and in the presence of the council members, decided to appoint Mr. Adi Saad Obaidat as the general manager of the company starting from the first of this month.

The Jordanian Industrial Cities Company stated in a statement today that the appointment decision comes due to the distinguished experiences that Obaidat possesses in the field of Jordanian industrial cities, where he held several leadership positions in the company, the last of which was the deputy general manager.

Adi Obaidat confirmed that the Jordanian Industrial Cities will continue the path of excellence and leadership that previous administrations of the company led, explaining that the company stands today on the threshold of a new journey in conjunction with implementing the programs of the economic modernization vision and the government plans aimed at the economic modernization journey in the kingdom to meet the global requirements in the field of service for the labor-intensive industrial investments and attracting them to spread development across various aspects of the Jordanian economy.

Obaidat holds a master's degree in finance from the Jordanian University and has held many leadership positions in the Jordanian Industrial Cities Company over thirty years and is a member of the boards of directors of the Jordanian Economic Projects Corporation, Ma'an Development Company, Jordanian Company for Innovation, among other memberships.

It is worth mentioning that the Jordanian Industrial Cities Company owns and manages 9 operating industrial cities in various provinces of the kingdom including King Abdullah II Industrial City/Sahab, Al-Hassan Industrial City, Al-Hussein Industrial City/Karak, Aqaba International Industrial City, Al-Muwaqqar Industrial City, Salt Industrial City, Madaba Industrial City, Tafilah Industrial City, and Zarqa Industrial City, which is expected to be inaugurated this current year in Zarqa province, and these cities, which are considered one of the most important drivers of the national economy, house approximately (980) industrial companies with an investment size exceeding 3 billion Jordanian dinars and have provided (62,000) job opportunities.
