Khaberni - Protesters claiming to support the New York mayor Zahran Mamdani gathered in front of his residence, protesting the appearance of his mother, director Mira Nair, in the latest Epstein documents which included her attendance at an event with prominent figures.
According to the published messages, Mira Nair's name appeared in the context of an invitation to attend an “after-show party” for a movie in 2009, held at the home of Ghislaine Maxwell (convicted of sex trafficking), and was attended by other prominent figures including Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos.
Zahran Mamdani assumed the position of mayor of New York on January 1, 2026, after winning the elections against his rivals Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa.
The publication of these documents was part of more than three million pages released under the "Epstein Files Transparency Act" signed by President Donald Trump in November 2025.
