Khaberni - "Cairo News" channel reported on Monday morning the arrival of the first batch of Palestinians returning from Egypt to the Gaza Strip.
The channel indicated that hospitals in North Sinai will be the first destination for the wounded and sick Palestinians leaving the sector to Egypt.
Earlier, the Israeli Government Coordination Unit said that the Rafah crossing is expected to be opened in both directions for individual movement on Monday, which was also confirmed by Ali Shaath, the head of the Palestinian Technocrat Committee.
The Coordination Unit clarified that "actual movement of people in both directions will begin upon completion of the preparations". The unit did not mention the passage of aid.
Israel partially reopened Rafah Crossing on Sunday, limiting crossing to individuals and under strict supervision, while humanitarian organizations demand its opening without barriers to deliver aid to the destroyed and besieged sector.
