Trump Comments on New Epstein Documents

Khaberni  - American President Donald Trump said the new documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice regarding billionaire Jeffrey Epstein "do not incriminate him, but exonerate him," considering this contrary to what the radical left had hoped for.

In remarks made to reporters aboard "Air Force One" during his flight from Washington to Florida yesterday, Saturday, Trump discussed the release of more than 3 million new documents related to the Epstein investigation.

Trump added, commenting on the documents, "I have not reviewed them myself, but some very important people have told me that they not only exonerate me, but also reveal a picture completely opposite to what the radical left had hoped for."

Trump said, "These documents - contrary to expectations - did not show anything against him," adding that the documents "indicate that American journalist Michael Wolff acted with Epstein with motives aimed at causing political harm to him," referring to allegations related to him about assaulting minors.

He mentioned that he might resort to filing a lawsuit against Wolff, and possibly also against Epstein's estate if necessary.

Deputy U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanch announced, the day before yesterday, Friday, the release of new files to the public as part of the investigations related to Epstein, the American businessman accused of managing a broad network of sexual exploitation of minors.

Epstein was found dead in a New York jail in 2019 while in custody.

Blanch said at a press conference that the massive batch of files released on Friday represents the end of the disclosures planned by President Donald Trump's administration under the law, including more than 3 million pages, two thousand video clips, and 180,000 images.

He continued that the files include "extensive redactions," due to legal exceptions that allow for the withholding of some documents, including the identifying information of victims or materials related to ongoing investigations.

The case files mentioned names of prominent global figures such as British Prince Andrew, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, current President Donald Trump, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, singer Michael Jackson, and former Governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson.

It is noted that Trump was a friend of Epstein during the 1990s and early 21st century, then they fell out years before Epstein's first conviction, and the latter spent months resisting any disclosure until the Democrats and Republicans in Congress forced it.

Trump has not been formally charged with any violation related to Epstein, and he has denied any knowledge of his crimes, but the scandal pursued Trump for months, especially since the files were released during his 2024 election campaign.

The Department of Justice wrote in a press release that "some documents contain unfounded and sensational allegations against President Trump, presented to the FBI just before the 2020 elections."
