Khaberni - A fifth-grade student, today, Sunday, was bitten and scratched by a (gerbil), and that occurred in the bathrooms of Um Habiba Basic Girls' School in the Wadi Al-Seer district of the capital, Amman.
In detail, as told by someone close to the student to Khaberni, while the student was entering the school bathroom, she was surprised by a large gerbil attacking from the trash bin as she was throwing away the garbage, causing her injuries to the foot, and the student screamed and cried for help, but no one helped her due to the bathrooms being far from the school building, afterward, she gathered her strength, pushed the gerbil away, and fled the bathrooms.
Upon returning home, the student informed her mother who had her daughter transported to the hospital and provided with the necessary treatment.
The source mentioned that the mother confirmed the student's health is fine, although she suffers from foot injuries, while no one from the school, the Directorate of Education, or the Ministry has contacted to check on the student's health until now.
The school's bathrooms suffer from a complete lack of cleanliness, with no attention or monitoring, in addition to the presence of indecent phrases on the bathroom doors, which is inappropriate for a school in the Jordanian Ministry of Education.
