Khaberni - The Hashemite University Board of Trustees, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Yaseen Al-Hasban, president of the council, held its session today, Sunday, corresponding to February 1, 2026, where the council approved, upon the recommendation of the University President, Dr. Khaled Al-Haiyari, academic formations by appointing vice-presidents of the university for three years, in addition to appointing a number of deans, and the formations are as follows:
- Appointment of Professor Dr. Hassan Kakhda as Vice President for Scientific Colleges Affairs.
- Appointment of Professor Dr. Sadiq Shudayfat as Vice President for Humanities Colleges Affairs.
- Appointment of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Tamimi as Vice President for Health Colleges Affairs.
- Reappointment of Professor Dr. Awni Itriyat as Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs.
The council also approved the appointment of several new deans for various colleges for two years, in the context of academic vacancies.
- Appointment of Professor Dr. Adnan Maqtash as Dean of the College of Engineering.
- Appointment of Professor Dr. Khalid Al-Sarayrah as Dean of the Graduate Studies College.
- Appointment of Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Malooh as Dean of the Technology College.
The University President, Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Haiyari, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the former vice presidents, commending their sincere efforts in supporting the university's progression and their developmental contributions that enhanced the university's academic and administrative standing during their previous term. He affirmed that these efforts will remain appreciated and esteemed by the university community.
The University President also congratulated the new vice-presidents, expressing his aspiration to continue with the same determination and dedicated work spirit, and to proceed with executing the university's strategy for the years 2025-2028, as well as continuing its programs and projects, which ensures enhancing the university's ranking on regional and international levels, improving the quality of education, developing the programs and curricula, and looking forward to a bright future for the university and the nation.
The Board of Trustees discussed a series of topics listed on its agenda, related to the development of academic infrastructure, support of scientific research, enhancing international partnerships, in addition to monitoring the execution of strategic plans for accreditation and quality, and making the necessary decisions to achieve the university's objectives in serving the local and national community.
