Khaberni - The Foreign Ministers of Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt expressed their strong condemnation of the repeated violations committed by Israel to the ceasefire in Gaza, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of more than a thousand Palestinians.
The ministers stated in a declaration issued on Sunday that these practices represent a serious escalation likely to inflame tensions and undermine efforts aimed at stabilizing the ceasefire and establishing stability, at a time when regional and international parties are uniting their efforts to move forward in implementing the second phase of the peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump, and to enact United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.
They confirmed that the repetition of these violations poses a direct threat to the political process, in a way that could hinder ongoing efforts to create suitable conditions for transitioning to a more stable stage in the Gaza Strip on both the security and humanitarian fronts.
They emphasized the need for full commitment to ensure the success of the second phase of the peace plan.
The ministers called on all parties to fully assume their responsibilities during this critical stage, and to exercise the utmost restraint; preserving the ceasefire and ensuring its sustainability, refraining from any actions or practices that could undermine current efforts, and creating favorable conditions for moving forward towards early recovery and reconstruction.
They affirmed the importance of reaching a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, based on the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and to establish their independent state, in accordance with international law, relevant Security Council resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
