Amman Arab University and HAQQ  Towards Strategic Cooperation in Legal Technologies and Artificial Intelligence

Khaberni  - As part of Amman Arab University's aspiration to enhance cooperation with leading companies in legal technologies, Professor Dr. Hussam Al-Hamd, Vice President of Amman Arab University for Planning and Quality Assurance, representing the President of the University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widian, welcomed a delegation from the company  "HAQQ" specialized in AI-based legal technologies and solutions, headed by the founder and CEO, Mr. Antoine Kanaan. This was in the context of exploring ways of joint cooperation and building a strategic partnership with the Faculty of Law in the areas of electronic litigation and artificial intelligence in legal education, attended by: Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Znibat, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Fawa'ir, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law and Head of the Private Law Department, Dr. Sultan Al-Attiyat, Head of the Law Department, Dr. Faisal Al-Abdallat, a faculty member in the Faculty of Law, Mr. Wadah Mesmar, Director of Media and Public Relations at the university, and from "HAQQ" company, Mr. Sharif Adnan, the Regional Manager, and Mr. Ibrahim Al-Kawamleh, Manager of the "HAQQ" office in Jordan.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Hamd presented the vision of Amman Arab University in developing academic programs and linking them to rapid technological developments, emphasizing the university's commitment to integrating artificial intelligence applications in the educational process, especially in legal specialties. This integration is aimed at enhancing student skills and preparing them for job market requirements, establishing effective partnerships with specialized institutions to support the journey of modernization and innovation in university education, enhancing applied scientific research, and developing teaching methods aligned with global standards and the digital transformation in the higher education sector.

For his part, Mr. Kanaan emphasized the importance of establishing a strategic partnership with Amman Arab University, commending its pioneering approach in developing legal education and keeping pace with digital transformations, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. He outlined HAQQ's aspirations to transfer its practical and technical experience to the academic environment through the development of innovative e-litigation solutions, and the implementation of specialized training and practical programs that enhance student skills and readiness for active engagement in the digital legal job market.

The meeting discussed the prospects of academic and practical cooperation between the two parties, where the possibility of developing specialized quality courses in the fields of e-litigation and legal artificial intelligence was explored. This aligns with the requirements of digital transformation in the judicial system and contributes to enhancing the readiness of students to meet the demands of the modern legal job market. Both sides emphasized the importance of integrating legal artificial intelligence tools into the curriculum of the Faculty of Law, due to its pivotal role in increasing the efficiency of legal research and developing practical skills among students. Additionally, the prospects of partnership in sponsoring a forthcoming conference hosted by the Faculty of Law were discussed, supporting its academic objectives and enhancing its scientific and practical outputs.
