Khaberni - The Egyptian Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Abdel Majid Saqr, met with a number of armed forces commanders and officers, in the presence of the Chief of Staff Ahmed Khalifa and the leaders of the main branches and senior army commanders.
According to the Egyptian military spokesperson on Facebook, Sunday, the meeting was “part of the ongoing follow-up of the operational system within the armed forces and discussing ways to improve performance to enable it to fulfill national tasks and responsibilities for protecting the homeland and preserving its sanctities”.
In his speech during the meeting, the Defense Minister emphasized the necessity for commanders and officers at all levels to maintain the combat readiness of their units and care for the fighters, considering them the main pillar of the armed forces, making them capable of performing various tasks assigned to them with efficiency, mastery, and high morale.
Saqr also stressed the importance of “being armed with enlightened awareness of the current stage challenges to maintain the security of the nation and the safety of its territories”.
According to the official spokesman, the meeting included presentations by several armed forces commanders addressing the latest developments and current challenges, and the efforts of the armed forces in protecting Egyptian national security, as well as the working methods inside the armed forces and mechanisms for their development and modernization to keep pace with rapid developments in various military fields.
