Khaberni - Al-Wehdat Club submitted an official protest to the Jordanian Basketball Federation, following the incidents that transpired during the basketball match between Al-Faisaly and Amman Union in the GFI League.
The club's official spokesperson, Walid Al-Saudi, explained that in its official letter, Al-Wehdat's Board of Directors expressed its dismay regarding the conduct of the teams' players in the last minutes of the match, indicating a clear manipulation of the game's proceedings, which, according to the club, reflected a lack of sportsmanship and negatively impacted the integrity of the competition, paving the way for future manipulations in match outcomes.
The club affirmed in its protest its commitment to the principles of justice and fair play, urging the federation to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the tournament and to uphold the values of sports.
