Khaberni - Minister of Health Ibrahim Al-Badour said on Saturday that the ministry has begun implementing a comprehensive plan targeting the maintenance of its health facilities and the organization of waiting turns in specialized clinics, in addition to enhancing medical readiness in hospitals, guaranteeing the improvement of service quality provided to citizens, and alleviating the pressure on emergency services and referral hospitals.
He confirmed through the Al-Mamlaka channel that the plan includes reorganizing work in outpatient clinics, shortening waiting periods that sometimes extend for days, and carrying out general maintenance work on the infrastructure in hospitals and health centers, especially those that were constructed decades ago, which will enhance their capacity to accommodate patients and provide service with higher efficiency.
Al-Badour emphasized that developing health centers will make them the primary entry point for receiving treatment, instead of directly resorting to emergency services, especially since a large percentage of cases can be treated within these centers, within a vision aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the health system and improving the patient experience.
