Egypt condemns Israels violations of Gaza ceasefire

Khaberni - Egypt condemned the repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death of more than 25 Palestinians, confirming the necessity of complying to ensure the success of the second phase of President Donald Trump's plan.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in a release that "these violations fuel tensions and undermine efforts aimed at securing the ceasefire and restoring stability, at a time when regional and international parties are jointly striving to succeed the second phase of the American plan, and implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803."

The statement added that "Egypt affirms that the repeated violations pose a direct threat to the political process and hinder the efforts made to create a suitable climate for transitioning to a more stable phase in both security and humanitarian aspects in the Gaza Strip."

Egypt appealed to "all parties to fully commit to their responsibilities during this critical stage, to exercise maximum restraint which helps in maintaining and sustaining the ceasefire, to avoid any actions that might undermine the existing course, and to facilitate conditions favorable for moving towards early recovery and reconstruction."
