Khaberni - The Greater Irbid Municipality has begun implementing an update and maintenance project for playgrounds in all its public parks within its service areas.
The director of tenders in the municipality, Engineer Inas Haddad, stated that the project includes providing parks with different types of playgrounds that are suitable for various age groups and updating and maintaining the playgrounds in the parks, designed according to the highest standards of public safety.
She explained that the project implementation period extends to 40 days from signing the work agreement with the municipality, while its total cost amounts to 36,500 Jordanian dinars.
Meanwhile, the director of agriculture and gardens in the municipality, Engineer Qasim Al-Rousan, stressed the municipality's commitment to providing the best services to citizens through its parks spread across different areas of the city, noting that this period is ideal for carrying out maintenance and development work, with the goal of completing them all, and making the parks ready to welcome visitors before the spring season begins.
He pointed out that the work has been completed in the Emar Irbid and Independence parks, while work is currently ongoing in the Zahra and Tunis parks, indicating that the transition to the rest of the parks will proceed sequentially.
Al-Rousan called on park visitors to maintain the playgrounds dedicated to serving their children and not to use them for purposes other than those for which they were intended or to tamper with them and expose them to acts of vandalism.
