Syrian media reported on Saturday that the process of naturalizing Kurds has started, and Syrian IDs are being issued as part of a ceasefire agreement.
An agreement has been reached to cease fire between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) under a comprehensive deal, with an understanding on a phased integration process of military and administrative forces between the two sides.
The agreement includes the withdrawal of military forces from contact points, the entry of Ministry of Interior security forces into the centers of Hasakah and Qamishli cities to reinforce stability, and the initiation of the security forces' integration process in the area, and the formation of a military brigade comprising three regiments of the SDF forces, in addition to forming a brigade for the forces of Kobani (Ayn Al-Arab) within a division belonging to Aleppo province.
The agreement also includes the integration of the autonomous administration institutions within the Syrian state institutions with the confirmation of civilian employees.
An agreement has been reached on settling the civil and educational rights of the Kurdish community, and ensuring the return of displaced persons to their areas. The agreement aims to unify Syrian territories, enforce the law, and achieve full integration in the region by enhancing cooperation among the concerned parties and unifying efforts to rebuild the country.
