Khaberni - The star of the film "Home Alone" Macaulay Culkin mourns the veteran Canadian actress Catherine O'Hara, who died at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
In a touching message on his Instagram account, Culkin praised O'Hara's performance, who played his mother in the famous film, in its first and second parts in 1990 and 1992, writing: "Mama, I thought we had time.. I wanted more time with you.. I wanted to sit by your side on the chair and listen to you, I still had so much I wanted to tell you.. I love you.. and we will meet later."
It is worth mentioning that Culkin was 10 years old when he gained global fame after playing the role of Kevin McCallister in the film Home Alone, which was his breakthrough as a child actor.
In 2023, O'Hara brought back memories of the film that brought them together by delivering a moving speech while Culkin received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She praised his unique sense of humor that helped him succeed, saying, "Macaulay, you deserve your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and thank you for involving me – your fictional mother who left you alone twice – in this joyful occasion. I am so proud of you."
The two concluded the meeting with an emotional, touching scene, embracing each other amid tears, in a moment reflecting the friendship and gratitude between the young star and his "cinematic mother."
