Police reveal the details of the Manchester City defenders robbery

Manchester police confirmed that the home of Portuguese international Ruben Dias, Manchester City's English football team defender, was burglarized.

The break-in occurred while Ruben Dias (28 years old) was participating with Manchester City in their match against Galatasaray (2-0) on Wednesday evening in the Champions League, while his girlfriend, television presenter Maya Jama, was filming a show in South Africa.

A spokesperson for the Cheshire police told the British Broadcasting Corporation "BBC": "Shortly after 11:10 PM on Wednesday, January 28, the police received reports of a burglary at an address in Alderley Edge".

He added: "Officers attended the scene and found that a property had been broken into and that a number of items had been stolen. Investigations are currently ongoing."

Meanwhile, "The Sun" newspaper quoted a source close to Dias and his girlfriend saying they were extremely shocked by the burglary.

The couple, who moved in together at the end of last year, previously lived in different cities, with Dias living in central Manchester and Jama in London.

The "BBC" mentioned that the couple's home in Cheshire is located in an area inhabited by current and former Premier League football players.

It should be noted that Pep Lijnders, assistant to Manchester City's technical director Pep Guardiola, confirmed in press statements that Dias's home had been burglarized.
