Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs welcomed the statement issued on Friday by the Syrian government regarding the ceasefire agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), under a comprehensive agreement, with an understanding of a sequential integration process of military and administrative forces between the two sides, an important step towards enhancing Syria's unity, security, and stability.
The spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, reiterated Jordan's firm stance in supporting the Syrian government in its efforts aimed at protecting Syria’s security, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and ensuring the safety of its citizens, emphasizing the importance of implementing the agreement for the benefit of Syria and its brotherly people, and supporting the path of recovery and construction in the country.
Al-Majali affirmed the kingdom's appreciation for the role of the United States and the efforts made by the American special envoy to Syria, Ambassador Thomas Barik, in reaching the agreement.
