Khaberni - The latest outputs of advanced computer simulations indicate signs of the Kingdom being affected, God willing, by a weather trough, the first of this year’s fifty days of winter, and the eleventh of the current rainy season, according to Arab Weather.
According to current indications, it is expected that this weather trough will affect the Kingdom around the middle of next week (Tuesday, February 3, 2026), bringing with it a noticeable drop in temperatures, along with the return of rain chances, especially in the northern and central regions, coinciding with a noticeable increase in wind speed.
In details, weather specialists are monitoring indications of a new weather trough forming in the eastern Mediterranean Basin, expected, God willing, to affect the Kingdom around the middle of next week. Current readings indicate that there is a chance during late night and dawn on Tuesday for showers in some northern areas.
By Tuesday daytime, indicators show the Kingdom being affected by a weather trough accompanied by a cold and humid air mass, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures compared to what it will be at the beginning of the week. The weather will generally become cold, with a clear activation of the western wind speed, which may be accompanied by strong gusts, especially in the eastern plains and the desert, leading to dust stirring in those areas.
It is also expected that cloud amounts in the sky will increase, and chances are prepared for rainfall, God willing, especially in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom. You will be provided with more details and updates in the coming days.
Noticeable warmth before the trough
In the same context, computer readings indicate that this weather trough will be preceded by a clear rise in temperatures during Saturday, Sunday, and Monday daytime. It is expected that the maximum temperatures, during the noon and afternoon hours on Sunday, will exceed the 20 degrees Celsius mark in most cities of the Kingdom, including the capital Amman, being higher than the usual averages for this time of year by about 9 to 11 degrees Celsius, and possibly more in some areas.
Accordingly, the weather will tend to be warm during the noon and afternoon hours, before radical changes in the weather occur in the middle of the week.
