Khaberni – American authorities arrested a person holding Jordanian nationality in Arizona, after he boarded an aircraft with an invalid ticket.
According to a written statement obtained by Fox News Digital, the individual is accused of obstructing the aircraft crew’s duties and entering the airport area in violation of security procedures, managing to board an international flight of French Airlines despite possessing a cancelled ticket and a marked boarding pass.
The American police stated that the person left his rented car at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and threw two jackets into the trash bin before boarding the plane.
The statement indicated that he was behaving abnormally on the plane, which caused concern among the passengers as he refused to sit in his seat and started wandering around the aircraft, eventually leading to its evacuation.
The authorities stated that the person had previously been admitted to a psychiatric hospital following his arrest at another airport.
The statement noted that while he was in the boarding area, one of the passengers of French Airlines alerted a staff member that the person's behavior appeared suspicious.
The captain of the aircraft ordered the Jordanian man to leave the plane, but he refused to comply, and instead wrote a message on his phone stating: «Send the US Marshal».
As a result, Phoenix Police was called and responded quickly to the incident, with the person being the last to leave the aircraft.
The statement also mentioned that he had been detained at Dubai Airport in 2024 for similar irregular behavior, and was temporarily admitted to a psychiatric clinic following the incident.
The police who interrogated him at Phoenix Airport said he refused to disclose his name or speak at all, opting instead to use his phone to write messages.
In the same context, authorities contacted his brother residing in Jordan, who reported that his brother speaks English fluently and had studied at Arizona State University.
