Khaberni - The Greater Irbid Municipality has issued a tender for the supply of 300 waste containers with unconventional technical specifications, within executive procedures aimed at developing the sanitation system in the commercial downtown area and improving the environmental reality in the vital streets.
The head of the Greater Irbid Municipality committee, Imad Al-Azam, said that the new containers have been designed comprising three parts, with special specifications that consider the nature of commercial activity and traffic density in the city center, which contributes to facilitating waste collection operations and reducing its random spread.
He added that the municipality will provide several main streets with these containers, including King Talal Street, Cinema Street, University Street, Al-Husn Street, and Thirty Street, due to the intense commercial activity and high traffic they experience.
Al-Azam emphasized the municipality's commitment to caring for the environment and public sanitation, especially in the commercial downtown area, calling for cooperation from citizens and commercial establishments with the municipality's efforts in this field.
