Galaxy S26 Leaks Shocking Price Increases and Surprising Exception in the Ultra Version

Khaberni - Samsung is preparing to unveil the Galaxy S26 series in the coming weeks, but before the official announcement, new leaks have revealed some unpleasant surprises for many users.

The leaks concern price increases and the cancellation of some options that the audience was accustomed to, against a striking exception in the Galaxy S26 Ultra phone.

According to leaks published by the famous leaker Roland Quandt on the German Winfuture site, Samsung is set to raise the prices of most of the new series' phones compared to the previous generation Galaxy S25, in a step that clearly reflects the escalating costs of production, especially regarding RAM and storage chips.

Contrary to the general trend, the leaks indicate that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the only phone that will see a price reduction, where the 256 and 512 gigabytes versions will come at a lower price than the previous generation, while the 1 terabyte version will maintain the same price as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, in a clear attempt by Samsung to enhance the appeal of its flagship phone.

Another noticeable change is Samsung's decision to completely eliminate the 128 gigabytes option, making 256 gigabytes the minimum storage across all models of the series, according to data issued by distributors in the Swedish market.

In the Swedish market, the Galaxy S26 with a 256 gigabytes capacity will be launched at a price of 11990 Swedish Krona (about 1135 Euro), compared to 10990 Krona (1040 Euro) for the previous generation, with an increase of close to 95 Euro in one year.

The 512 gigabytes version will reach 13990 Krona (about 1325 Euro).

For the Galaxy S26+, the 256 gigabytes version maintained its price at 14490 Krona (1372 Euro), while the price of the 512 gigabytes version jumped to 16990 Krona "1609 Euro", an increase of more than 230 Euro compared to last year.

As for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the surprise came with a reduced starting price to 16990 Krona "1609 Euro" for the 256 gigabytes version, compared with 17990 Krona "1703 Euro" in the previous generation.

The price of the 512 gigabytes version also decreased to 18990 Krona, while the price of the 1 terabyte version stabilized at 22490 Krona "2129 Euro".

The leaks, according to Winfuture, indicate that Samsung may abandon the policy of free storage capacity upgrades during pre-orders, a feature that the company had offered for years, in light of the continuous rise in memory costs.

In terms of specifications, the leaks do not expect radical changes, with the Galaxy S26 featuring a 6.3-inch AMOLED M14 display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, while the S26+ gets a 6.7-inch screen with 2K resolution, maintaining IP68 standards, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and Qi2 support, along with limited improvements in the cameras.

The phones, depending on the markets, are powered by the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors.

According to the latest reports, Samsung intends to officially announce the Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026, with pre-orders starting on February 26, while the initial sales will kick off on March 11.
