Shocking details How was the artist Huda Shaarawi famous as Umm Zaki killed and what did her neighbor say

One of the neighbors of the late Syrian artist Huda Shaarawi revealed the circumstances of her murder by "her worker" in her home located in the capital, Damascus.

In his statements, Shaarawi's neighbor mentioned that the crime was apparently executed by the housemaid, who disappeared from the scene after the incident, indicating that the victim was assaulted with a pestle, according to Russia Today.

The neighbor added that the late artist’s grandchildren used to visit her daily in the evening hours, which suggests, according to his statement, that the crime occurred after they left the home.

The Syrian Artists' Guild mourned the artist Huda Shaarawi, who passed away today inside her home in Bab Sreijeh neighborhood in the capital Damascus at the age of 87, in a shocking incident that is still under investigation.
According to preliminary data, artist Shaarawi was found murdered inside her home, amid suspicions of a brutal murder motivated by robbery.

The ongoing investigations indicate that suspicions revolve around the housemaid who disappeared after the murder incident, and no final official statement has been issued yet confirming the charge or clarifying the details of the crime completely so far.

Huda Shaarawi was one of the prominent artistic figures in Syria and one of the early founders of the Syrian Artists' Guild. Her artistic career began early through Damascus Radio, where her distinctive voice marked a noticeable presence in a number of radio works, most notably the program "The Judgment of Justice".

Her works varied between radio, theatre, cinema, and television, and she played a significant role in the development of Syrian drama, achieving wide fame through her participation in a large number of series, most notably the series "Bab Al-Hara" as the midwife "Umm Zaki", alongside dozens of drama and film works where she left a clear artistic imprint.

The late artist was known for her spontaneity, honest performance, and ability to convey emotions simply and deeply, in addition to having a beautiful vocal texture that enabled her to sing in a number of TV works.

Huda Shaarawi was born in Al-Shaghour neighborhood in Damascus, and belonged to a conservative family, and faced difficulties in her early artistic beginnings before paving her way steadily towards stardom. She married Abdul Rahman Bashar and gave birth to her only daughter, Dilbar.
