Khaberni - A specialized medical team from the Department of Otolaryngology at Latrun Military Hospital, headed by Colonel Doctor Eyad Abu Nahla, performed a specialized surgical operation for a patient who was suffering from chronic inflammation in the middle ear and mastoid cells behind the ear, in addition to the presence of erosion in the lateral part of the skull base.
Colonel Doctor Eyad Abu Nahla explained that this operation is one of the precise operations due to its proximity to important anatomical components. The team managed to eliminate the inflammation, remove the affected tissues, and restore the affected area, ensuring the halt of disease progression and reducing the likelihood of future complications. The operation was successfully completed thanks to the collaborative efforts of the surgical team and supporting staff.
The head of the Department of Otolaryngology, Brigadier Doctor Nabil Al-Shawaqfeh, stated that the department is committed to conducting operations regularly, with the aim of expanding the range of advanced surgical services and making them available to patients at peripheral hospitals. This helps to facilitate patients' access to care near their residence places, which reduces the pressure on Al Hussein Medical City.
