Central Toyota Celebrates the Launch of the GR Yaris in Jordan

Khaberni - Central Toyota launched the second generation of the GR Yaris model in Jordan during a special ceremony held at the authorized maintenance center in Bayader, attracting sports car enthusiasts and marking a new milestone in the Yaris model's journey inspired by the world of motor sports.

The development of the GR Yaris was based on Toyota's experience in the World Rally Championships, the Super Taikyu Series, and the Japanese Rally Championship, following a methodology that uses racing as a basis for development, under the supervision of the Toyota Gazoo Racing team, which recently won the Manufacturer's title in the World Rally Championship for the fifth consecutive time.

The new model features the Aero Performance Package, which enhances air flow, increases vehicle stability, and improves cooling efficiency, alongside an advanced four-wheel-drive system and a high-performance turbo engine, offering a comprehensive sports driving experience.

The GR Yaris model relies on a 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbo engine that operates with direct injection, producing a power output of 296 horsepower and torque of up to 400 Newton meters, with an option of an advanced eight-speed automatic transmission or a smart six-speed manual transmission, as well as being equipped with the permanent four-wheel-drive GR-FOUR system with electronic control and three driving modes, ensuring dynamic torque distribution between the front and rear wheels, and providing high levels of grip and stability through turns and various driving conditions.

The GR Yaris car embodies Toyota's commitment to the highest quality standards; it is manually assembled in the GR Factory within the famous Motomachi facility by "Takumi" craftsmen, while maintaining a priority on safety through Toyota's advanced Toyota Safety Sense systems, providing drivers in Jordan and the region with a driving experience that combines performance, control, and innovation.

Commenting on this, Aziz Bashtamy, head of Toyota Gazoo Racing Team in Jordan, said: "The launch of the second generation of the GR Yaris in Jordan is an important step for sports driving enthusiasts, reflecting our commitment to offering models inspired by motor sports that meet the aspirations of high performance lovers, and providing them with an exceptional driving experience."
