King Talal Dam is 95 full

Khaberni  - Minister of Water and Irrigation Eng. Raed Abu Al-Saud confirmed on Thursday during a tour of the King Talal Dam facility the necessity to maintain the implemented measures and prior preparations in dealing with the continuous rainfalls and the dam's storage capacity reaching 95%.

 Al-Saud reviewed the work progress on transferring floodwater from Wadi Al-Arab pumping station to King Abdullah Canal to Wadi Al-Arab Dam, with an additional capacity of 125,000 cubic meters, after its rehabilitation and development, and the installation of 4 new pumps, reinforced by a 1000 mm diameter transfer line, to maximize the benefits from the floodwaters and store them in the dam for use during the summer.

He instructed the continuation of coordination with farmers, water user associations, and the ongoing supply to farmers to fill agricultural ponds within the agricultural units in the Jordan Valley to store the largest amount of rainwater and floodwaters.
