Martyrdom of Two Youths by Occupation Forces Fire in the West Bank

Khaberni  - The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday the martyrdom of a youth by the Israeli occupation forces near Bethlehem, following the martyrdom of another youth in Dheisheh town in Hebron province, in two separate incidents coinciding with the continuing Israeli raids and assaults in various areas of the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli army admitted killing a Palestinian and injuring others during a military operation it carried out in the town of Dheisheh, south of Hebron.

The occupation army claimed in a statement that its forces fired at the young man alleging he threw a Molotov cocktail, and also fired at another youth under the pretext of stone throwing, noting no injuries among its soldiers.

The Ministry of Health had announced on Tuesday the martyrdom of the young Mohammed Rajeh Nasrallah (20 years old) who succumbed to his injuries from occupation fire in the abdomen, while the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its teams transported a seriously wounded person in the abdomen and a third youth who was hit by live bullets in the leg.

Confrontations and Assaults

According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces stormed the center of Dheisheh town, firing bullets and gas bombs intensively, leading to the outbreak of confrontations and resulting in injuries and cases of suffocation.

In another field development, the Ministry of Health announced that it was informed by the General Authority for Civil Affairs about the martyrdom of the young Qusai Maher Ismail Halaiqa (28 years old), from the town of Al-Shuyukh in Hebron province, by occupation forces near the Tunnels checkpoint in Bethlehem governorate.

This comes in the context of the ongoing Israeli escalation in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, since the start of the war on Gaza Strip in October 2023.

The assaults by the army and settlers have resulted in the martyrdom of at least 1109 Palestinians and injuries to more than 11,500 others, in addition to arrest campaigns that have affected more than 21,000 Palestinians, according to official Palestinian data.
