Newcastle imposed a draw on their host Paris Saint-Germain with a score (1-1) on Wednesday evening, in the match held at the Parc des Princes, concluding the league stage of the Champions League competition.
Paris Saint-Germain opened the scoring in the eighth minute through Vitinha, before Newcastle equalized in the 45th minute through Willock.
With this result, Paris Saint-Germain’s tally was raised to 14 points in the 11th position, while Newcastle also raised their tally to 14 points, but in the 12th position, causing both teams to miss the chance for direct qualification to the round of 16.
