Jordanian Ministerial Delegation Tours Europe and Affirms the Kingdoms Competitiveness

Khaberni  - The Jordanian ministerial delegation continued today in the Netherlands, its European preparatory tour for the Jordanian-European Investment Conference, with the participation of the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Zeina Toukan, Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, and the Jordanian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Khalid Al-Qadi.

The delegation held a dialogue session participated by the Dutch side including the Minister of Trade and Development of the Netherlands, Oki de Freis, and the Dutch Ambassador to Jordan, Stella Korth, in addition to representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Invest International financial institution, and the Dutch Business Council for the Middle East and North Africa, along with representatives of economic, investment institutions, and the Dutch private sector.

The ministerial delegation reviewed in front of the attendees the most important competitive advantages of the investment environment in the Kingdom, ways to expand economic partnerships, and cooperation in the field of investment, and translating Jordanian-European cooperation into feasible developmental and investment projects in the Kingdom, contributing to enhancing development and economy.

During the session, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan emphasized the strategic partnership between Jordan and the European Union, based on historic relations and shared humanitarian values, highlighting the importance of enhancing developmental cooperation between the two sides, which contributes to supporting developmental priorities and achieving sustainable growth objectives.

Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh referred to the safe and stable investment environment in Jordan, the promising investment opportunities in light of the availability of human resources and rich and diverse natural resources, pointing to the government's efforts in simplifying and facilitating procedures in front of investment, encouraging cooperation between public and private sectors, and focusing on projects with sustainable economic impact.

In turn, Ambassador Khalid Al-Qadi showcased the robust diplomatic relations between Jordan and the Netherlands, which have extended for more than 75 years, emphasizing the importance of building on them to open avenues of economic and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The Dutch attendees expressed their interest in exploring the promising opportunities that the Jordanian investment environment offers, especially with the upcoming Jordanian-European Investment Conference, which will serve as an essential platform for consolidating economic and investment cooperation between Jordan and the European Union.

The Jordanian-European Investment Conference is scheduled to be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in Jordan, on April 21 of this year.
