Khaberni  - State Minister for Prime Minister Affairs Abdul Latif Al-Najdawi said on Wednesday that the team tasked with reviewing the clarifications identified by the State Audit Bureau has taken new measures to expedite the response to all supervisory observations.

Al-Najdawi confirmed that, based on the directives of Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, the team will conduct periodic reviews to increase the response rate to all supervisory observations, link them with public sector upgrading procedures, and also focus on continuing and enhancing work, as well as assigning a monitoring team for ministries and institutions to help reduce violations in all institutions subject to the supervision of the State Audit Bureau.

He pointed out that the team held a meeting today at the Prime Minister’s office, discussing the clarifications documented during the months of November and December, totaling 33 clarifications recorded against 22 institutions and entities, asserting that all necessary measures have been taken to correct them and recover all improperly dispersed amounts.

He explained that the clarifications discussed in the team’s meeting did not require referring any of them to the public prosecutor or the anti-corruption agency, noting that some included allowing the recruitment and employment of foreign labor improperly, paying bonuses and allowances to employees on account of projects they did not adhere to actual working hours for, overlooking the collection of amounts due to the treasury, and irregularities in some tenders.

He also mentioned detecting violations related to procedures for appointing faculty members in some universities, and disbursing bonuses and allowances to municipal employees without justification.
