Khaberni - Grief has overshadowed the governorate of Irbid in northern Jordan, after the death of four children from the same family, following a tragic fire that broke out in a tent in the Hawwara area on Sunday evening.
The public security directorate spokesperson stated that the East Irbid civil defense fire crews handled a fire that erupted inside a tent with an area of (50) square meters, resulting in the death of four children, all of Arab nationality, after they suffered severe burns.
The children who perished in the incident range in age from one to nine years old, and according to knowledgeable sources for "Khaberni" are:
Reemas Badi Maheer (9 years old)
Ibrahim Badi Maheer (8 years old)
Seema Badi Maheer (6 years old)
Hakam Badi Maheer (one year old)
Relevant authorities have begun investigating the causes of the fire to ascertain its circumstances, and the bodies were evacuated to the hospital.
Later, the Minister of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Azmi Mahafaza, along with the general secretaries and directors, mourned the students Ibrahim and Reemas Badi Maheer, who were both in the second grade at Mecca Al-Mukarramah Mixed Basic School No. 2, affiliated with the Ramtha Education Directorate.
The minister and the educational community in the district expressed deep sorrow and grief, praying for God to bestow His extensive mercy on the deceased and to grant their families and loved ones patience and solace.
