Khaberni - A young American beauty queen has passed away after years of struggle with colon cancer, leaving behind a moving human story and a legacy filled with charity and philanthropy.
American beauty queen Andrea Andrade, from California, died at the age of 35, after a nine-year-long battle with colon cancer, which was diagnosed in its third stage in 2017.
The news of Andrea's death was announced on January 16th, as reported by «Your Central Valley» newspaper, where her husband Chris Wilson expressed his deep sorrow over her loss, stating: «My eternal love, I will see you in the hereafter, my darling», noting that their journey together lasted for eight years.
Despite doctors' estimates that gave her only between six months to two years to live, Andrea continued her life for an additional nine years, during which she achieved many of her ambitions and participated in humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting others.
During this period, together with her husband, Andrea established a program named «Not All Heroes Wear Capes», to support children in hospitals, inspired by a child who wore a superhero costume while receiving chemotherapy, and she made sure to document her charitable activities and share them with her followers on social media.
Andrea Andrade won several titles in beauty contests, including Miss California, Miss West Coast, Miss Nuestra Belleza USA, and Miss Fresno County, as well as the title of Miss Western Region.
Although her health improved for a while, the disease later returned, affecting her reproductive system and progressing to stage four, before she was admitted to the hospital right after Christmas in 2025, where she later passed away.
Andrea left behind her husband Chris, her parents, her older brother Junior, and her younger brothers Eric and Jose. Her husband announced that her funeral services would be held at St. Anthony's Church in the city of Reedley, with the public being given the opportunity to bid farewell on February 4th of the coming February.
