Khaberni - The director of tenders in the Greater Irbid Municipality, Inas Haddad, announced the completion of all procedures related to the referral of a new tender for road paving and maintenance using hot asphalt mix, with an estimated amount of one million and 800 thousand Jordanian dinars.
Haddad explained that the duration of the tender execution extends up to 300 days, directly associated with prevailing weather conditions, confirming that the work will cover most areas of the Greater Irbid Municipality according to the priorities and needs and the municipal work plans.
On her part, the director of engineering projects in the municipality, Tahani Al-Hazaimeh, said that the implementation of this tender will have a significant impact on improving the infrastructure of the city's roads and maintaining a large number of streets and repairing defects in them, indicating at the same time that the work will involve reconstructing a number of roads and paving main and neighborhood roads, which also includes patching works for some streets.
She added that the municipality will also implement asphalt mixes for some new streets located within residential neighborhoods, due to the urgent need for it, with the aim of facilitating access for residents to these areas and providing them with services.
