Khaberni - The Ministry of Health has equipped the new Princess Basma Teaching Hospital with a modern MRI scanner enhanced with artificial intelligence technologies and a capacity of 3 Tesla. This is the first device of its kind among the ministry’s hospitals, in a qualitative step that reflects the accelerated development in the level of diagnostic services offered to citizens, contributing to the accuracy of examinations and speeding up medical procedures.
Director of Princess Basma Hospital, Ibrahim Shahabat, stated in a press release on Wednesday that the new "Philips" device is one of the most advanced devices in the region, noting that it is the first of its kind in the Ministry of Health and is added to the MRI machine in the old hospital, which strengthens the hospital’s diagnostic capability and eases the pressure on patients.
He highlighted that the device features advanced technologies that contribute to improving image quality and diagnostic accuracy, especially in complex cases.
He explained that the hospital has also been furnished with three CT scanning devices, 7 X-ray rooms, a room for osteoporosis examination, two mammography rooms, in addition to a catheterization unit and interventional radiology, forming a comprehensive system of advanced medical services in the hospital. He affirmed that these facilities, alongside the qualified medical and technical staff, will lead to a qualitative leap in the level of healthcare provided to patients. Shahabat confirmed that the citizens will clearly perceive the impact of this development on various levels, pointing out that the new hospital, with its array of modern and advanced devices, contributes to advancing healthcare services in the Irbid governorate and the northern governorates, enhancing the quality of healthcare and the speed of accessing medical services.
