UAE Get to know the additional support mechanism for private sector employees salaries

Khaberni - In the framework of the established approach of the UAE, and under the directives of its wise leadership, which prioritizes the citizen and pays great attention to his job and living stability, the government continues to implement national initiatives and programs that support improving the quality of life and empowering national talents in the labor market, one of the most prominent being the "Nafis" program, which targets supporting citizens looking for work, and those currently employed in the private sector.

"Nafis" program explained the mechanism for calculating the additional support provided to citizens employed in the private sector, as part of its ongoing efforts to support national talents and enhance their professional stability.

It indicated that there are two categories of salaries for the national cadres benefiting from the additional support program; the first one includes those earning a salary of less than 20,000 dirhams, with support amounts being 7,000 dirhams for a university degree holder, 6,000 for diploma holders, and 5,000 for high school and below.

The second category includes those earning a salary between 20,000 and 30,000 dirhams, with support amounts being 3,500 dirhams for a university degree holder, 3,000 for diploma holders, and 2,500 for high school and below.
Minimum

The program confirmed that the minimum support provided on the salary is 1,000 dirhams, noting that if the beneficiary's salary is 19,500 dirhams or 29,500 dirhams, they would receive support worth 1,000 dirhams.

Nafis clarified that if the current salary ranges between 20,000 and 30,000 dirhams, and the employee has a university degree, the beneficiary is entitled to the full amount of additional support allocated for university graduates, which is 3,500 dirhams, provided that the total of the salary and support does not exceed the defined ceiling of 30,000 dirhams.
Mechanism

The program illustrated this with an example: if the salary of the employee with a university degree is 24,000 dirhams, then they are entitled to the full amount of the additional support designated for university graduates of 3,500 dirhams, considering that it does not exceed the designated ceiling of 30,000 dirhams.

"Nafis" also mentioned that if the current salary is less than 20,000 dirhams, such as being 16,000 dirhams, then the owed support amount would only be 4,000 dirhams and not 7,000 dirhams, as the total of the salary and support reaches the overall ceiling of 20,000 dirhams.
