This incident comes at a time when reports indicate that some Russian forces have resorted to using primitive or unconventional equipments to camouflage against drones, amidst an increasing Ukrainian superiority in the drone and aerial reconnaissance war.
Khaberni - A circulating video shows the moment a Russian soldier is killed on the battlefield, after he attempted to hide in a weird outfit resembling a penguin in an attempt to evade Ukrainian drones, but the attempt failed as reported by "The Sun".
According to the footage, the soldier was wearing a special cloak believed to be designed to block the thermal signature, while he walked alone across a snow-covered field. However, his feet were visible beneath the cloak, and the head cover gave him a distinctive look that was easily spotted from the air.
The Ukrainian drone’s footage confirmed locking on the target, before executing the strike that ended the soldier's life, proving that the so-called invisibility cloaks failed to deceive thermal sensor devices.
On the political front, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that a US agreement to provide security guarantees to his country is 100% ready, noting that Kyiv is awaiting the setting of a date and place for the signing, in a step he described as pivotal towards ending the war waged by Russia.
Zelenskyy added that the document would later be submitted to the US Congress and the Ukrainian Parliament for ratification, confirming that security guarantees from the United States are a top priority for his country.
