AlBdoor sponsors the ceremony of new doctors oathtaking

Khaberni - Minister of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdoor, sponsored the oath-taking ceremony for new doctors, organized by the Jordanian Medical Association, attended by the head of the Medical Association, members of the association council, and the families of the new doctors.

The Minister of Health congratulated the new doctors and their families, and during the ceremony, he discussed the challenges faced by doctors during their academic and professional journey, stressing the importance of patience, perseverance, and hard work to overcome these challenges, alongside the humanitarian and national role played by a doctor.

The minister emphasized the need to adhere to professional ethics, preserve the dignity of the patient, keep up with scientific and medical developments, positively reflecting on the quality of health services provided to citizens.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Health is making efforts to increase the number of appointments in the health sector and raise the number of admissions in medical residency programs, which contributes to accommodating new doctors, scientifically and practically qualifying them, and enhancing the efficiency of the health system.

For his part, the head of the Medical Association, Dr. Issa Al-Khashashneh, affirmed that taking the oath is a pivotal milestone in the professional journey of a doctor and a charter of honor committing the doctor to serve patients with fidelity and dedication, emphasizing the continuance of the association in defending doctors' rights and working to improve their professional and living conditions.

In turn, the Secretary of the Medical Association, Dr. Muzaffar Al-Jalamda, said that the association pays special attention to new doctors and strives to support them at the beginning of their professional career by developing training programs, defending their rights, and continuously coordinating with official entities to ensure the provision of fair work and specialization opportunities, affirming that the doctor is a fundamental pillar in the healthcare system.

At the end of the ceremony, the new doctors took the legal oath, expressing their pride in belonging to the medical profession and their readiness to take on its humanitarian and national responsibilities.
