Khaberni - The Azerbaijani State Security Service stated that it thwarted a terrorist attack aimed at one of the foreign embassies in the capital, Baku.
Meanwhile, the Russian news agency Novosti quoted Azerbaijani security sources saying that the attack thwarted in Baku targeted the Israeli embassy.
Channel 12 Hebrew stated that the attack, which was thwarted by Azerbaijani security forces on Tuesday morning, targeted the Israeli embassy in the capital, Baku.
It added that the three attackers, who were arrested, were affiliated with the "ISIS" organization.
The Azerbaijani State Security Service stated in a statement that "three individuals, conspiring with members of the ISIS-Khorasan organization, had obtained weapons and planned to attack a foreign embassy before being apprehended by security forces."
According to the statement, one of the individuals was born in 2000 while the other two were born in 2005.
This attack comes a day after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev hosted Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar in Baku to discuss cooperation in various fields, including advanced technologies and artificial intelligence.
Sa'ar invited his Azerbaijani counterpart to visit Israel at the earliest opportunity.
