AlBakkar Innovative Policies to Enhance Youth Employment and Womens Participation in the Economic Modernization Vision

Khaberni - Minister of Labor Khaled Al-Bakkar stated that the government works within the framework of the Economic Modernization Vision directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II, executing innovative policies and initiatives through the Ministry of Labor aimed at enhancing youth employment, developing their skills in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market, and boosting women's economic participation.

Al-Bakkar pointed out in his speech, delivered at the third edition of the International Labor Market Conference currently held in Riyadh over two days under the theme "Shaping the Future", that the conference serves as a comprehensive international platform bringing together the three pillars of production —governments, employers, worker representatives, international institutions, civil society organizations, and universities—to discuss the fundamental transformations in the global labor market, including technological and digital changes and their impact on jobs and required skills, skill development and workforce training for the needs of the modern economy, and providing flexible and comprehensive employment policies that respond to economic and social transformations, in addition to keeping up with the workforce's readiness for available economic opportunities.

The minister outlined during his talk the government's broad directions, the Ministry of Labor, the Vocational Training Corporation, and the Development and Employment Fund to provide job opportunities for youth, train them, and qualify them for the new requirements of the labor market.

This year, the conference witnesses a broad international attendance, including more than 10,000 participants from 100 countries, alongside the participation of more than 40 labor ministers, representatives of international organizations, the private sector, and academic institutions, in addition to over 200 speakers in more than 50 panel discussions.
