Khaberni - Mai Kamal El-Din, the ex-wife of the artist Ahmed Mekki, has recently reignited controversy about her divorce from Mekki, revealing the real reasons behind it.
Through the Stories feature on her private Instagram account, Mai Kamal El-Din posted that the business manager of Ahmed Mekki was the main reason for their divorce.
Mai said in her post: "It doesn’t mean that if two people separated, there must be wars between them, or that if one of them faces a crisis I would leave him, even if he did not ask for help, goodness is stronger than any evil. The main reason for my separation from Ahmed is his business manager (may God judge her) and the gang around him. I kept silent for years because of his mother and out of my fear for him, but after his mother’s death, I felt that I completely exhausted the energy inside me, but it doesn’t mean that I hate him or will leave him in any crisis, no matter what".
The ex-wife of Ahmed Mekki added: "I forgave him because, unfortunately, his long-term relationship with her was much longer than with me. Ahmed is a person who honors relationships very much, he respected their relationship greatly, even though she harmfully hurt him without mercy or conscience. I really hope that’s enough with the difficult messages that put me in a tough mood. I am a person who does not seek revenge even though I do not let go of my rights easily, but what is between him and me is goodness that cannot be measured with the treasures of the world. Ahmed Mekki is not an ordinary person to me, I will always pray for him to live happily and may God compensate him every good."
Ahmed Mekki files a complaint against his business manager
Ahmed Mekki had filed a complaint at the Agouza police station against his business manager after he asked her to provide him with a statement of his account and his private balance during the period she worked for him, but she refused his request, prompting him to authorize his lawyer to file a complaint against her at the police station, which referred the incident to the Public Prosecution, which revealed a theft of Mekki’s accounts amounting to 66 million pounds.
Mekki's lawyer went to the office of the head of the northern Giza sector in the General Administration for Investigations and filed a complaint suffering from his client's business manager, stating that the artist had notified her to terminate the contractual relationship between them and that he had asked her to give him a statement about his account and private balance during the period she worked for him, but she refused his request, so the head of the Agouza detectives referred the incident to the Public Prosecution to start the investigations.
