Khaberni - Press reports confirmed that Bayern Munich has entered strongly in the race to sign Manchester City star, Egyptian international Omar Marmoush, during the ongoing winter transfer period.
FourFourTwo website stated: "Bayern Munich is monitoring 26-year-old Omar Marmoush who is no longer a primary choice at Manchester City, especially after the signing of new attacking players like Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo, which has reflected on his playing minutes this season, despite recently regaining his scoring touch and scoring in the win over Wolverhampton in the Premier League."
It added: "Manchester City will be active during the winter transfer period, aiming to close the gap with Premier League leader Arsenal."
Earlier, Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany praised Marmoush, describing his skills as "extraordinary", and sees in the Egyptian player an ideal boost for his attack line.
Bayern faces competition for the deal from several clubs such as Fenerbahce, which expressed readiness to pay 30 million euros, and Galatasaray, in addition to English interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham.
The current market value of Marmoush is estimated at about 65 million euros, a figure that reflects his tremendous development since moving from the German league to the English league.
