Khaberni - Turkish authorities arrested a 24-year-old woman after she posted provocative public statements, challenging the police and security saying they wouldn't be able to reach her.
The woman, identified by her initials E.K., was captured by the security forces of the Atakum District Police in the Samsun province on Sunday, January 25th at 11:30 AM, just hours after publishing her provocative statements which included insults aimed at police officers and security guards through her account on the platform "X".
In her posts, the young woman wrote "You are looking for me and you will not find me," using profanity and derogatory phrases towards the security forces, before finding herself surrounded by police shortly after making these statements.
The investigations revealed a surprisingly extensive criminal record for the accused, showing that she had a final 5-month prison sentence for a threat case, along with 19 other criminal precedents recorded in her security file, indicating a long history of security issues.
The accused added a new charge to her criminal record when she insulted the security elements during her arrest, prompting the public prosecutor to initiate a new investigation against her for "insulting a public official" in addition to violating Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code.
From an official standpoint, the young woman was transferred to the courthouse in Samsun to complete the legal proceedings against her, and video clips showed her continuous attempts to hide her face from the camera lenses that were documenting her transfer, in stark contrast to her previous boldness on social media.
