Khaberni - The Ramadan 2026 season does not come as a traditional race for viewership ratings in Syrian drama, but as a decisive turning point that restores the glory of the screen anew with bolder issues, files that have long been out of the spotlight, and stories that were not allowed to be told.
The first teaser posters for the upcoming season's series reveal a clear diversity in the anticipated works between social, political, fantasy, and Damascene environments, in a scene that reflects a conscious attempt to break inherited molds and open a new page on the screen.
With Five Souls
The series "With Five Souls" belongs to the category of joint Arab drama, and it gathers stars from Syria and Lebanon in an exciting plot that begins with the death of an influential man and does not end at the limits of inheritance.
The story revolves around "Shams," the apparently sole heir, who discovers that obtaining the wealth is conditional on finding four siblings his father legally erased.
The work is written by Bilal Shehadat, directed by Rami Hanna, produced by Sabbah Company, starring Caris Bashar, Qusai Khouli, Adel Karam, Joseph Bou Nassar, Rafiq Ali Ahmad, Janeed Zein El Din, Talal El Jurdi, along with a selection of stars.
The work is scheduled to be shown on Al Jadeed TV, MBC Shahid, Roya, and Rotana Khaleejiah.
The Bliss of the Mad
The series "The Bliss of the Mad" goes far in dismantling the Syrian reality between 2022 and 2024, using crime as a dramatic tool to expose a corruption network that infiltrates from poor neighborhoods to justice institutions.
The work, written by Alaa Mehna and directed by Saif Eldin Subaie, aims to observe the psychological and social disturbances resulting from years of war and economic collapse, covering smuggling and trade of forbidden substances and collusion with authority.
The series consists of 30 episodes, starring Sulaf Fawakherji, Abed Fahd, Basem Yakhour, and is scheduled to be shown on OSN TV.
The Exit to the Well
The series "The Exit to the Well" is based on events inspired by the incidents of Sednaya Prison in 2008, presenting a complex vision of repression and its psychological and social transformations inside and outside the prison.
The work, written by Samer Radwan and directed by Mohammad Lotfi, stars Jamal Suliman, Mazen Al Natour, Carmen Lebbos, Nidal Njeim, Abdul Hakim Qatifan, and Ruwaa Yassen.
The work is shown on Al Arabi TV 2 and Al Arabi Plus app.
Mawlana
The series "Mawlana" is one of the most anticipated works this season, where Taim Hasan returns as a sheikh of spiritual and social stature, whose life secrets begin to unravel when religion crosses with influence.
The work is directed by Samer Al Barqawi, produced by Sabbah Company, and stars Mona Wassef, Noor Ali, Fares Al Helo, and Nancy Khoury.
The work is shown under the banner "Who said legends are a myth?" on MBC Shahid platform.
City Kitchen
In a contemporary social mold, "City Kitchen" tells the story of a family working in a Syrian restaurant, but their personal conflicts and deep worries drive them towards disintegration.
The work is written by Ali Wajih and Saif Rida Hamid, and directed by Rasha Sharbatji, starring Maxim Khalil, Abbas Al Nouri, Amal Arafa, and Abdul Monem Amayri, and Malham Bashar.
The Orphan
The series "The Orphan" belongs to the Damascus environment, and tells the story of a boy left alone after his father is killed in an inheritance dispute, growing amidst a network of secrets and blood.
The work is written by Qasim Alweis, directed by Tamer Is'haq, starring Samer Ismail, Shukran Murtaja, Ayman Reda, and Safaa Sultan, and is shown on YouTube.
Syrians: The Enemies
The series "Syrians: The Enemies" spans three time periods, adapted from Fawaz Haddad's novel, recounting the tragedy of a family wiped out in the Hama massacre in 1982, with only an infant surviving.
The work is written by Najib Nasir and Rafee Wahbi, directed by Laith Hajjo, starring Bassam Kousa, Saloum Haddad, and Yara Sabri.
