Khaberni - Jordanian Ambassador in Brussels, Youssef Al-Bataineh, invited European companies to seize a unique and unprecedented investment opportunity in the Kingdom through the investment support portfolio provided by the European Union totaling 1.4 billion euros.

This occurred on the sidelines of the start of a European tour by a Jordanian ministerial delegation on Monday, in preparation for the Jordanian-European Investment Conference scheduled to be held in Jordan on April 21-22, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II, and in the presence of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

This tour is part of governmental efforts aimed at ensuring the conference achieves its goals in enhancing Jordanian presence in the European markets and translating the strategic partnership between Jordan and the European Union into viable investment projects that serve the development and economic objectives of both sides.

The delegation included the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Yaarub Al-Qudah, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Zeina Toukan, and the Minister of Investment, Tareq Abu Ghazaleh.

The delegation held a high-level dialog session at the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels, where they met with the European Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs, Dubravka Suica, in addition to European business associations, financial institutions, and representatives of companies and the private sector.

The delegation also held a meeting at the headquarters of the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, attended by representatives of companies and the private sector in Belgium, during which the ministers highlighted the most important competitive advantages, investment opportunities, and the attractive investment environment in Jordan.

The delegation is scheduled to hold a series of meetings to highlight the distinctive investment opportunities in the Kingdom, and discuss prospects for investment cooperation between Jordan and the European Union.

The Jordanian-European Investment Conference is one of the outcomes of the summit between Jordan and the European Union, held by His Majesty King Abdullah II with the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on the eighth of this month.

During the summit, His Majesty expressed the Kingdom's aspiration to hold the Jordanian-European Investment Conference next April, which will enhance economic and investment partnerships between the two sides.
