Khaberni - The Iraqi Embassy in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and non-resident in the State of Palestine announced its success in evacuating Iraqis stranded in Gaza in cooperation with the competent Jordanian authorities.
The embassy said in a statement that its efforts over the months culminated in the evacuation of the stranded Iraqis to Amman and that it continues to care for them until their safe return to Iraq.
This achievement came as a result of meticulous and responsible follow-ups led by the embassy from the moment it received the first humanitarian appeals, whereby it mobilized all its resources, exerted exceptional efforts in highly complex circumstances, ensuring the safety of Iraqi citizens, and securing their exit from danger areas, clearly embodying its national and humanitarian duty in caring for the Iraqi community abroad.
The embassy expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to the Jordanian official authorities for their cooperation and significant facilitations, which contributed to the success of this humanitarian operation, confirming the robust historical fraternal relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the distinctive coordination and integration under various circumstances.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and non-resident ambassador to the State of Palestine, Omar Al-Barzanji, was present to greet the citizens upon their arrival on Jordanian soil, where he welcomed them and assured their safety, reaffirming the embassy's support at all stages. The ambassador also invited the citizens and their families to his residence in the capital, Amman, in a humanitarian gesture that reflected his personal commitment to embracing them and ensuring their psychological and health conditions after a long ordeal.
In the context of completing the efforts, the transportation of citizens back to their homeland was secured in coordination with the relevant Iraqi authorities, where several diplomats from the Iraqi Embassy from the capital, Amman, accompanied them to the border crossing, ensuring the procedures and their safe arrival.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bhadr Al-Uloom, received Dr. Yasser Abdullah Ahmed and Dr. Bashar Abu Jazar, representing a group of Iraqi families that were stranded in the Gaza Strip, where it was affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is keen on monitoring the conditions of Iraqi citizens abroad, dealing with humanitarian files with high national responsibility.
On their part, the guests appreciated the significant efforts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministries of Interior, and Migration, in addition to the pivotal role played by the Iraqi Embassy in Amman, praising the level of coordination that resulted in this humanitarian achievement, and they presented a shield of appreciation to the deputy as a token of their gratitude.
These efforts are part of the diplomatic and humanitarian role carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its embassies abroad, reflecting the Iraqi state's steadfast commitment to caring for its citizens and preserving their dignity wherever they are.
